Thoughts of Success in Action

“America is unique because it offers you an economic ladder to climb. And here’s what’s exciting: It is the bottom of the ladder that’s crowded, not the top” (Jim Rohn).
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas in one of the oldest and now nicest parts of the city: “The Heights”. I attended public school and was selling temporary tattoos to my classmates in the third grade, sold ice cream in a wagon door to door, mowed yards with my brothers as a teenager, and I made a workout video in my garage (I didn’t complete it, my dog DNA was a camera hog. Update: I will be making another workout video soon). The list goes on and on.
I attended Texas A&M Veterinary School for two summers while working with a Doctor running EKG tests. I have earned three college degrees: An Associate in Arts with a concentration in Sociology and Anthropology, a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems Degree (Cum Laude), and an Entrepreneurship degree from the prestigious Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the world renowned University Of Houston Bauer College Of Business.
I started a dot.com with a partner while in college, and we raised roughly 1 million dollars in cash and services. I have several websites that I own and manage. I am also an active real estate investor, and I own and manage several rental properties. I recently finished construction of two 3 story houses in the Heights and I’m currently the Manager of Information Technology Training and User Development at a local university.
I’ve completed the MS 150 bike ride from Houston to Austin (150 miles), hold a brown belt in JUDO, enjoying dancing to tropical music, and you can find me riding my bike around town and running at the park. I pray before I eat, and I pray every night before going to bed. Without God, nothing really matters.
How would it feel to start a business, what if you ran a full marathon? Let my life inspire you to do what you want. I truly believe that I have accomplished all I have because I made a conscious decision to do something, set a plan and took action. “In order to do this, a person must … form a clear mental picture of the things he wants. And, he must hold this picture in his thoughts with the fixed purpose to get what he wants and the unwavering faith that he will get what he wants-closing his mind against all that may tend to shake his purpose, dim his vision, or quench his faith” (The Science of Getting Rich 58).
