My Story

I consider myself very fortunate! I was born and raised in Springfield, MO as the youngest child in a traditional American family. Fortunately, for me and my older brother, our parents were always there for us, and supportive of whatever endeavor we chose to undertake. My Father was and still is a small-business owner in the Commercial Construction Industry. My Mother, for most of our childhood, stayed home to raise us. Realistically, looking back, I was born into an upper middle-class family with freedoms and opportunities a lot of people I knew did not have. We traveled as a family quite often, and because of that I grew up well-rounded, having been exposed to various cultures throughout my childhood.

After High School, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to attend college. Although I was always a good student, my grades were not outstanding. Early in my college career, I found myself indecisive about my future career path and wasting time. Finally, I decided it was meant for me to enroll in the College of Business Administration. Coming from a family where my Father was a successful small-business owner, I had always had a strong interest in Entrepreneurs and people who had achieved great success in business. Fortunately, Missouri State University offered a BS Degree in Entrepreneurial Management. Shortly after graduating, I accepted an entry-level management position with a Fortune 50 Company, started working towards my Masters Degree in Business Administration, and started climbing my way up the corporate ladder.

Throughout the course of my professional life, I have always conducted myself like I was the owner. I have always acted, managed decisions, and accepted responsibility as if the business were my own. That’s part of being a leader. Fortunately, I have always had a compelling sense within me to lead others and to serve. It’s what I do, and it’s who I am-but I have never done it alone! I have been blessed with the opportunity and privilege to work with extraordinary people-people who have impacted me in significant ways, and taught me things that you cannot learn in school-things that are only learned “in the trenches” by rolling up your sleeves, working hard, and doing the little things over and over again until it is done right.

I now have a family of my own-I am a Father and a Husband in a traditional American family raising our children, Eiley and Nathan, with the love and support of my wife, Sarah. It is now my responsibility to always be there for them, and to always be supportive of whatever endeavor they choose to undertake in their life. Right now, it’s the simple things, but that will soon change I’m sure!

And personally, I’m continuing to learn. I decided long ago it is a lifelong process, and it’s something I am passionate about! And that’s why I chose to undertake this project-to learn from some of the most successful Entrepreneurs who have been able to achieve their dreams, and then be able to share that information with people, who like myself, have a passion for Entrepreneurship and the winners who pursue it.

Keep Winning!
